Pros and cons of Japan Connected Wi-Fi app for iPhone and iPad

Japan Connected Wi-Fi app good for

You do have to create an account. It seems the Wi-Fi providers want usage stats? Thats fair - theyre providing a free service. They didnt even verify my email address - they just went ahead and activated the service. I found many Wi-Fi hotspots in Japan, but without this app, they were of no use. Apparently the app has partnered with many of the Wi-Fi hotspots and the app is required to "authenticate" you. Good app.
Its very useful to use this application for be connect in few seconds but some bugs stay at the opening and this bugs coz application close. Thanks for this good app ;)

Some bad moments

No means to install this app. I can not access to any free wifi the this app. So I set up by myself.
I live in Japan & thought this would be handy for finding wi-fi spots around Japan. The map in the app is good for locating spots, but the app itself seems disrupt the connection. My phone used to automatically connect to free networks at convenience stores or malls etc, but now it doesnt... The wi-fi signal is stronger when I get in range then a error message pops up "no network connection "& I have to close whatever app I had open. Maybe its just for tourists?
Please address the problems that bad Wi-Fi connection in Japan.
The app does what it says, gives you access to Wi-Fi hotspots. Does not make it any easier to connect to partner hotspots like 7-eleven or FamilyMart. You still need to go to setting, select that HotSpot and log in on their page. Greatest benefit on Metro Statins but does not switch between between stations so you have to refresh at every stop.
Does the login for you (read the directions). Connect to a wifi point, switch to the app, and hit the "connect" button and itll log you into that access point. Keeps you logged in across subway stations and other locations. I would have been lost in Tokyo / Japan without it.
I does the registration process for you once you connect to free wifi whitens very helpful since some are in Japanese. Auto connect to free wifi would be amazing!
